An annual per capita distribution to religious institutes based on the number of members age 60 and over. The distribution formula is weighted for the institute’s level of need, the age of the members and the self-help factors employed by the religious institute. The institute may use these funds for the current care of the elderly members or invest them for the future care of the elderly. These funds are distributed annually in June. This distribution formerly was known as the Basic Grant
