New American Bible (NAB)

• All quotations must be verbatim from the text, including capitalization and punctuation. The poetic structure of some passages and books written in verse (for example, Psalms, Wisdom, Isaiah, etc.) must be preserved in verse as printed.

• Anyone may use up to 4,000 words of the text in a single non-liturgical publication (including sound recordings and computer programs) free of charge, provided that the NAB text does not comprise more than 10% of the total work. Written permission is required for such uses
  
  
• An unlimited amount of text may be used in a single issue of a newspaper or in radio or television programs. However, if these are later published in book or pamphlet form, or in a sound or video recording, the 4,000-word (10%) limit would apply and a license agreement would be necessary.
  
  
• Use of the NAB text beyond the prescribed limits requires a license agreement and payment of a permission fee. Information about the print run and list price of the publication should be provided along with the permission request.

One-time use (such as in a worship program for a special liturgy):

• No written permission is required for one-time use.
