Solidarity Rides

Possible Roles for Host Parishes

- Identify one person to greet the riders when they arrive.
- Show the riders where they can camp or where they can sleep inside.
- Provide a shower facility.
- Provide a potluck dinner for the cyclists and support crew.
- Participate in dinner with the cyclists.
- Work to get parishioners to turnout for a one hour interactive education program provided by the team of cyclists.
- Provide a sunrise potluck breakfast for the cyclist and support crew.
- Encourage parishioners, especially the youth groups and families, from your parish and from neighboring parishes to attend the education program and to cheer the riders as they arrive and as they depart.
- Receive a large Thank You from the team of cyclists working to raise awareness of poverty in the United States and the Church’s empowerment response through its Catholic Campaign for Human Development!
Once a parish has agreed to host the team of riders, one of the team will contact the parish to make final arrangements.
