Get Involved

If you are seeking an exciting, challenging and rewarding experience, look no further. Brake the Cycle will provide you the opportunity to act on your faith, build community, increase awareness of poverty, learn first hand about issues of social justice, and grow personally.

Become a Volunteer

The following are just a few ways in which volunteers can help:
  • Promote CCHD, the Poverty in America Awareness Campaign and Brake the Cycle in your parish and community
  • Assist with the coordination of a local Solidarity Ride
  • Ask local businesses for donations of food, beverages, and snack items for riders.
  • Donate frequent flier miles to a core rider.
  • Review our list of suggested donation items for more information

We would like to recognize the volunteers who have agreed to drive support vehicles for all or part of the Brake the Cycle of poverty bike tour.
  • Jack and Mary Jo Hogan of Washington, D.C.
  • Susan Stolfa of Magdalena, New Mexico (soon to be from Kansas City)
  • Jane and Harold Adams of Lisbon, Ohio
If you are interested in driving the support vehicle for a portion of the tour, please contact us for more information.

To find out how you can get involved, contact your local CCHD Diocesan Director.
